Analysis:

With Jonas Hiller under contract for another year and Joni Ortio also on a one-way deal for 2015-16, the Flames don't seem to have much interest in carrying three goalies on their active roster. That leaves no room for Ramo, despite the fact that he finished the playoffs as the team's top netminder after starting the remaining four games of their second-round series loss to the Ducks. While Ramo's 15-9-3 record, 2.60 GAA, and .912 save percentage over 34 regular-season contests won't make him an overly enticing option in free agency, the dearth of quality goalies available on the open market could lead another squad to sign him as their No. 1 option in the crease, though a backup gig is probably a more realistic scenario for the 28-year-old.
