Flames GM Brad Treliving said Tuesday that Hudler had been playing through neck and back issues, NHL.com's Aaron Vickers reports.

Analysis:

It's not clear how long exactly Hudler was nursing the injuries, but there was nothing about his performance at any point during the regular season or playoffs that suggested he was playing at sub-optimal health. The 31-year-old destroyed his previous career highs by tallying 31 goals and 76 points during the regular season, allowing him to finish as a top-10 scorer in the NHL. Hudler certainly won't fly under the radar heading into fantasy drafts next season.
