Candice Ward / USA Today

The Calgary Flames certainly missed Mark Giordano in the playoffs, but their hope is that he'll get another opportunity to show his postseason worth for the team in the future.

In a press conference Tuesday, Flames general manager Brad Treliving said locking up the talented 31-year-old defenseman is on top of his to-do list.

Prior to a a torn biceps injury that kept him out of action from Feb. 25 onwards, the veteran was on-pace for a Norris Trophy nod.

He recorded 11 goals and 37 assists in 61 regular-season games.
