The Calgary Flames' season is over, and with that comes updates on all the aches, pains and medical issues players gritted their teeth through during the playoffs.

On Tuesday, forward Lance Bouma joined Micheal Ferland (torn oblique) and Joe Colborne (wrist) in their injury revelations when he confirmed he had to have eight screws and a plate inserted into an injured index finger.

"I'll try to avoid glove saves," said Bouma.

Flames general manager Brad Treliving said in a press conference on Tuesday that Bouma "shattered" his finger after blocking a shot.

The 25-year-old left an Apr. 7 game against the Arizona Coyotes after blocking a shot.
