Ducks' coach Boudreau: Perry sore, but fine, after Game 5 collision

Kelvin Kuo / USA TODAY Sports

The Anaheim Ducks appear to have dodged a major bullet after Sunday's Game 5 series-clinching win over the Calgary Flames.

Star forward Corey Perry was forced to leave the contest with an apparent knee injury following a collision with Flames forward Matt Stajan, but ultimately came back and scored the game-winning goal in overtime.

Still, with questions lingering over Perry's status, head coach Bruce Boudreau offered the following update Monday:

At the time of the collision, Perry appeared to be in considerable pain and was barely able to get himself off the ice.

Nevertheless, the update is encouraging for the Ducks, as Perry is their leading scorer in the playoffs with 15 points in nine games.
