Wild's Coyle staying optimistic with team down 3-0: 'We're still breathing'

The Minnesota Wild are facing a seemingly insurmountable task down 3-0 to the Chicago Blackhawks in their second-round series, but they aren't about to throw in the towel.

Two of Chicago's three victories have been decided by one goal and Minnesota is generating chances in the series, firing at least 30 shots in each contest. Wild coach Mike Yeo credits Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford for making the series so lopsided.

Wild forward Charlie Coyle knows their playoff lives rest first and foremost on Game 4 and they can't look too far beyond that. Otherwise, Minnesota will likely be eliminated by Chicago for the third straight year.

"We just have to look at it as game by game now," Coyle told Dan Myers of NHL.com. "It's up to us. We're still breathing. We're still alive here. And it's just up to us to go and get that next one."

The Blackhawks are 10-0 all-time with a 3-0 series lead. Only four teams have rallied from 3-0 series deficits in NHL history, with the Philadelphia Flyers accomplishing the feat in 2010 and the Los Angeles Kings doing so last postseason on their way to a Stanley Cup championship.
