Mikael Backlund's first career playoff goal couldn't have come at a better time.
The Calgary Flames' forward circled back to the high slot on a power play early in overtime and fired a shot through traffic that eluded Anaheim Ducks netminder Frederik Andersen, lifting the Flames to a huge Game 3 victory, cutting their second-round series deficit to 2-1.
Backlund entered Tuesday with one assist in his first eight postseason appearances.
