Antoine Vermette impressing Blackhawks with faceoff prowess

Antoine Vermette has found his niche in Chicago.

After failing to immediately strike a chord or carve out a function when brought to the Chicago Blackhawks at the trade deadline, Vermette's postseason began with him watching Games 1 and 2 versus the Nashville Predators from the press box.

But since returning to the lineup, he's provided the team with an invaluable service, and his mates are now singing his praises.

"He tells us where to go before the faceoff, and most of the time it's going right there," Patrick Sharp said, according to Brian Hedger of NHL.com

"That's a huge advantage this time of year, special teams and faceoffs, and (Vermette) is one of the best at it."

Vermette has absolutely torched Wild pivots, winning draws at a 73.3 percent clip through the first two games of the series.
