Elite talent seduces elite talent.

Such is the case with the Chicago Blackhawks and newly-minted KHL import Artemi Panarin, who received a glowing endorsement - one that suggests he will fit right in - from Russian teammate and former first-round NHL draft pick, Viktor Tikhonov.

"They should be," he told ESPN's Craig Custance (via ESPN Insider) Monday after being apprised to the enthusiasm in Chicago in light of the signing.

"I think honestly, he's probably the most talented kid in the KHL. He's got hands, he's got speed, he's got a shot. He can (make plays). I know there are a lot of players there that will appreciate his style."

His off-the-chart offensive mind (sounds familiar) was on display in Russia's 4-2 loss to the United States at the World Championship. The 23-year-old, who's played in the KHL for seven seasons, stick-handled through the crease before finding Anton Belov sneaking in from the point for Russia's first goal.

"I really think everyone will be excited about him," Tikhonov said. "He's still growing. Every game, every practice you can see he's getting better. He hasn't hit his peak yet.

"He's going to be a huge help for Chicago."

Panarin signed a two-year entry-level deal last weekend.
