Jets bring back Manitoba Moose, will share MTS Centre with AHL affiliate

Bruce Fedyck / US PRESSWIRE

The province of Manitoba is officially oozing hockey.

True North Sports and Entertainment will indeed rehash the Manitoba Moose, announcing Monday that the Winnipeg Jets' uprooted AHL franchise from St. John's will go by its old moniker.

Manitoba's new logo is a spin on the old AHL crest, using the Jets' current color and jersey scheme.

True North shipped the original Moose franchise to St. John's when they acquired the Atlanta Thrashers in 2011.

The Moose will share the MTS Centre with their parent club.
