GM Bryan Murray said he doesn't anticipate that the procedure will delay Cowen's availability for training camp. Cowen became a forgotten man by the Senators in the second half of the season, appearing in just 15 games after the All-Star break and in none of the Senators' six posteason contests. He'll have to battle for a regular role on the Sens' third defensive pairing during camp.
