Jonathan Toews wasn't about to let the Anaheim Ducks escape in regulation during Game 5 of the Western Conference Final on Monday.

The Chicago Blackhawks captain put the team on his back and scored twice in the final 1:50 of regulation to force overtime. Toews fired a one-timer from the top of the left faceoff circle to trim Chicago's deficit to one goal at 18:10.

Toews got a little luck on his second goal 72 seconds later when he fired the puck towards the net from along the goal line and it deflected in off Ducks netminder Frederik Andersen.

Unfortunately for Toews and the Blackhawks, Anaheim forward Matt Beleskey scored the overtime-winner just 45 seconds into the extra frame, giving the Ducks a 3-2 series lead.
