Canucks' Richardson to have surgery next week

With the emotional scars of losing their series to the Calgary Flames now starting to heal, the Vancouver Canucks will also let the real healing process begin. 

Forward Brad Richardson told reporters at the team's end of the year press conference that he will have surgery on his ankle

The 30-year-old missed time towards the end of the season with an ankle injury and had been playing for the last little while with a fracture in his ankle and damage to his ligament. 

Richardson played in five of the Canucks six playoffs games going pointless in the series.
