Islanders rookie Reinhart replaces Visnovsky for Game 5 vs. Capitals

New York Islanders defenseman Griffin Reinhart is making his playoff debut Thursday.

Reinhart warmed up alongside Thomas Hickey prior to Game 5 against the Washington Capitals.

He drew into the lineup because of the injury to Lubomir Visnovsky, who left Game 4 after being hit by Capitals forward Tom Wilson.

Reinhart was recalled by the Islanders last week. He appeared in 59 games for the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, scoring seven goals and adding 15 assists.

He picked up a point during an eight-game stint with the Islanders earlier in the season.

Reinhart was selected fourth overall by the Islanders in 2012.
