Bruins' Bergeron on future of coach Julien: 'We'll see what happens'

Rick Osentoski / USA TODAY Sports

Patrice Bergeron may be preparing for life under a new head coach.

After the Boston Bruins decided to part ways with general manager Peter Chiarelli, attention turned to head coach Claude Julien, who remains in the fold for the time being.

The decision on whether to retain Julien's services will be made once a new GM is hired, and Bergeron appears to be well in tune with that potential new reality.

Julien has been behind the Bruins bench since 2007, a period of time in which the Bruins have achieved a great deal of success and Bergeron has become a perennial Selke Trophy candidate. However things shake out behind the bench in Boston, the coach will have a prime piece of the puzzle already set.
