Capitals fan has car vandalized by Islanders fan

The NHL playoffs can get pretty heated, even between opposing fans.

The Nassau County Police confirmed to ESPN.com that on Sunday a Washington Capitals fan filed a report against a New York Islanders fan after his car was vandalized.

The fan claimed to have his car keyed and license plate stolen by Islanders fans.

However, the keying was not the only incident reported.

A Capitals fan named Fatou (choosing not expose her full name), claimed that she was verbally abused at the game as well, receiving racist remarks.

"All of us expected to be booed. We expected 'F-U!!' (chants), 'go home!' (chants), that's what we expected. They're passionate. Nobody is upset about getting booed at," Fatou said. "That wasn't the issue. It just got a little too crazy. Thank God there wasn't any legit violence."

The Islanders lead the series 2-1. Game 4 goes Tuesday back at Nassau Coliseum. Lets hope the abuse is left on the ice this time around.
