Blackhawks' Quenneville on his Game 3 goaltender: 'We'll see'

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville has a tough decision to make.

After goaltender Corey Crawford was lit up by the Nashville Predators for the second straight game, allowing six goals on 35 shots, Quenneville has to decide who he'll start in net in Game 3 back in Chicago on Sunday afternoon.

Coach Q was non-committal after Game 2 when asked if he'd go back to Scott Darling, who was sublime in relief in Game 1.

"We'll see," Quenneville said

Darling may be the Blackhawks' best bet, because Crawford's having some postseason struggles right now:

Friday night was Crawford's worst game of the season - he hadn't allowed more than five goals in a game in 2014-15. The nine goals he's given up to Nashville in two games are the most he's allowed in back-to-back games.

It could be bad timing. But time is of the essence during the playoffs.

Game 3 goes Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
