The Calgary Flames love to rally in the third period.

The Flames earned points in 14 of 34 regular-season contests when trailing after two periods (10-20-4) and they're carrying that trend into the playoffs.

The Vancouver Canucks held a slim lead after two periods of Wednesday's Game 1 before David Jones knotted the contest with a quick wrist shot 7:59 into the third.

Flames defenseman Kris Russell fired a shot through traffic in the final minute of the game to complete the comeback as Calgary took Game 1 by a 2-1 score.
