Senators clinch playoff berth with win over Flyers

The Ottawa Senators are playoff-bound.

The Senators needed only a single point against the Philadelphia Flyers to punch their postseason ticket Saturday, and they picked up a pair with a 3-1 victory.

Ottawa forward Mark Stone scored a pair of goals, including a breakaway marker in the third period that put the game out of reach.

Ottawa goaltender Andrew Hammond made 34 saves to earn his 20th win in 24 contests.

The Senators will face either the Tampa Bay Lightning or Montreal Canadiens in the first round.

Ottawa has qualified for the postseason in 15 of the last 18 years. The Senators reeled off 21 wins in their final 27 games
