VIDEO: Blue Jackets' Foligno goes top shelf 14 seconds in

Aaron Doster / USA TODAY Sports

The Columbus Blue Jackets hosted their last home game of the season against the Buffalo Sabres on Friday and they kicked it off with a bang.

Forward Nick Foligno didn't wait to get the goal scoring started, burying the biscuit top shelf past Sabres goaltender Anders Lindback.

Foligno didn't even let play-by-play announcer Jeff Rimer get through his opening sentence before putting the Blue Jackets up 1-0.

The goal was Foligno's 31st of the season, a career-high.
