VIDEO: Oilers' Nikitin goes long distance with empty net goal

The Edmonton Oilers aren't playing like a team that is in the midst of tanking.

Edmonton won their third straight game and second in less than a week over the Colorado Avalanche on Monday and did so by a decisive 4-1 score.

The third goal of the contest came courtesy of defenseman Nikita Nikitin, who somehow potted the rubber in the top corner of Colorado's empty net from the opposite end of the ice.

The ridiculous goal was the fourth of the season for the 28-year-old Russian.
