Corey Crawford will back up Scott Darling on Monday for the Hawks against the Kings as they give him a breather in a back-to-back scenario, ESPN Chicago reports.

Crawford will back up Scott Darling on Monday against the Kings as they give him a breather in a back-to-back scenario, ESPN Chicago reports.

Analysis:

Crawford has slumped recently after surrendering at least three goals in four of his last five starts. While some of the blame has to go on him, he also hasn't had much help from his teammates either defensively or offensively. Crawford is expected to be back in goal Thursday against Vancouver at home; he's given up eight goals in two games against the Canucks this year. However, Crawford has a much better career mark against Vancouver, with a 5-3-3 record, 2.43 GAA and .920 save percentage.
