With Matt Hackett not spotted at the team's morning skate, look for Andrey Makarov to back Lindback up on Monday. The Sabres currently sit in last place in the NHL standings with 48 points, while the Coyotes are 29th overall, with 54 points. It's in the Sabres' best long-term interests to lose so they have a better chance of landing Connor McDavid, but Lindback and the Sabres should still put up a fight even though the Swedish goalie has allowed eight goals in his past three games. Lindback is only worth starting if poolies are scratching at the bottom of the barrel.
