Senators' Anderson starts Sunday vs. Panthers, Hammond in as backup

Adam Hunger / USA TODAY Sports

The Hamburglar is (sort of) back.

Andrew Hammond, who sat out Saturday's game in Toronto with an undisclosed injury, will be back in the Ottawa Senators lineup for Sunday's contest with the Florida Panthers.

He'll serve as backup, however, as head coach Dave Cameron has announced that Craig Anderson, who allowed four goals on 31 shots in Saturday's overtime loss to the Maple Leafs, will get the start.

Anderson's season record stands at 14-12-8, with a 2.48 GAA and .923 save percentage.

The Senators sit one point back of the Boston Bruins in the race for a wild card spot and three up on the Panthers heading into Sunday's action.
