Craig Anderson: (Hand) Returns to Net for Sens on Saturday

Anderson (hand) will receive the start in goal for Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports.

Analysis:

Anderson's return to the crease comes at convenient time, as the Senators will be without emerging star goalie Andrew Hammond on Saturday after he suffered a lower-body injury in his last start. While hand issues have dogged Anderson since about late January, he seems to be feeling strong again after taking the last week and a half off to recuperate. Anderson was able to turn in a full practice Friday and didn't appear limited during the Sens' morning skate Saturday, giving coach Dave Cameron confidence in turning the net over to the goalie. Despite the lay off, Anderson will make for a respectable starting option in just about any fantasy format Saturday, as the wilting Leafs have struggled to generate offense over the last few months.
