Hammond (lower body) will not be available for Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs, Gord Wilson of TSN 1200 reports.

Analysis:

After appearing to be hobbled during his start Thursday against the Rangers, Hammond struggled with his mobility during Friday's practice and was absent entirely from Saturday's morning skate. While the loss of Hammond will be cushioned to a degree by the return of Craig Anderson (hand) to the net Saturday, the Senators could find themselves in a bind for Sunday, when the team will play the second half of a back-to-back Sunday against the Panthers. Unless Hammond is able to return Sunday, it would be less than ideal for the Senators to start Anderson two games in a row coming off injury, but perhaps even less favorable to turn to the inexperienced Chris Driedger, especially against a fellow wild-card competitor.
