Boston University forward Daniel O'Regan scored in overtime Friday to lift the Terriers to a 3-2 victory over the Yale Bulldogs in the opening round of the NCAA hockey tournament.

The San Jose Sharks prospect buried a rebound after a shot by Jack Eichel to give BU the win less than eight minutes into the extra frame.

Yale led the contest 1-0 heading into the third period before allowing two straight goals. They tied the game on Frank Dichiara's marker at 13:12 of the third period.

Boston University now moves on to the Northeast Regional final to face the winner of Minnesota-Duluth versus Minnesota.
