Tomas Hertl is sporting a brand-new battle scar following Thursday's game against the Detroit Red Wings.

The San Jose Sharks forward required 15 interior stitches in his right cheek after he was cut by a skate during the contest. He gave reporters an intimate look at the cut once it was cleaned up.
