The Tampa Bay Lightning have agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract with 19-year-old forward Brayden Point, reports Stephen Whyno of the Canadian Press.

Point spent the 2014-15 season with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL, recording 38 goals and 49 assists in 60 games. He'll be on a tryout to play in Syracuse of the AHL for the rest of the season.

The Lightning drafted Point 79th overall in the third round of the 2014 draft.

Point was a member of the Canadian gold medal squad from the 2015 World Junior Championships.
