Analysis:

Talbot has been a masterful replacement for Henrik Lundqvist (neck) over the last seven weeks, but his run as the team's primary starter seems to be nearing its end. With coach Alain Vigneault confirming that Lundqvist would serve as the backup goalie Thursday and likely return to the crease Saturday against the Bruins, Talbot's fantasy value stands to plummet as a byproduct. Coach Alain Vigneault reiterated Wednesday that Lundqvist is the Rangers' clear No. 1 goalie and would be used as such down the stretch, perhaps leaving Talbot will only two or three more starts through the remainder of the regular season. If nothing else, Talbot will at least make for an elite streaming option when he gets the nod, as his 19-8-4 record, 2.19 GAA, and .927 save percentage over 33 games perhaps make him the NHL's most overqualified backup goalie.
