Blues' Lindbohm reassigned to AHL Chicago

St. Louis Blues defenseman Petteri Lindbohm was reassigned to AHL Chicago on Wednesday.

Analysis:

With the Blues expecting both Kevin Shattenkirk (abdominal surgery) and Carl Gunnarsson (upper body) back by the weekend, Lindbohm would have been slated to serve as a regular healthy scratch. Because the 21-year-old stands to benefit by playing on a consistent basis, he'll head back to Chicago and get in three games right away over the weekend. While his numbers with the Blues this season don't jump off the page (two goals, three points in 23 games), Lindbohm has acquitted himself well in his first exposure to the NHL level and should be a part of the team's long-term plans.
