Mackenzie Skapski's time with the New York Rangers is done for now.

The goaltender who backed up Cam Talbot while Henrik Lundqvist was on the shelf with a neck injury has been reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

With the recent announcement that Lundqvist will dress as early as Thursday against the Ottawa Senators, there wasn't room for Skapski with the big squad.

Skapski was brilliant in two appearances for the Rangers, posting a goals-against average of 0.50.
