Devan Dubnyk near perfect as Wild win 10th straight road game vs. Islanders

If there is a thing called home-ice advantage, the Minnesota Wild have not heard about it.

With their 2-1 shootout victory over the New York Islanders Tuesday, the Wild have now won a franchise-record 10th straight road game.

With the win, the Wild also become the first team since the 2007 San Jose Sharks to win 10 straight on the road during the regular season.

Zach Parise was the difference in the shootout scoring the only goal of the skills competition. He was fortunate to put a shot through Jaroslav Halak, who knocked the puck into his own net in desperation.

Parise also had the team's lone goal in regulation, while his shootout winner was his 11th career game-deciding goal.

The story once again for the Wild was goaltender Devan Dubnyk. The 28-year-old recorded his second win in as many nights and stopped 37 of 38 shots.

Dubnyk is now 33-11-3 in 51 games with a .930 save percentage and a 2.07 goals against average. Meanwhile, the Wild now have 91 points, just three behind the Chicago Blackhawks for third spot in the Central Division.
