Avalanche reassign Calvin Pickard to AHL

The Colorado Avalanche have reassigned goaltender Calvin Pickard to their AHL affiliate in Lake Erie on Friday.
The moves comes after Avalanche starter Semyon Varlamov returned to action Thursday, making 23 saves in a 2-1 win over the New Jersey Devils.
Pickard was pulled in favor of Reto Berra Tuesday after allowing three goals on eight shots in a 5-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.
