Well, that was short. Grigorenko's stint with the Sabres lasted just one game, and he didn't even play, sitting out as a healthy scratch Tuesday against Tampa Bay. With top center Zemgus Girgensons (fractured ankle) out of the lineup, Grigorenko was in position to take the spot, but head coach Ted Nolan opted for Phil Varone instead. Grigorenko may move between the NHL and AHL a few more times this season.
