Damon Severson: (Ankle) Will Play Tuesday

Severson (ankle) was activated from injured reserve in advance of Tuesday's game against the Predators.

Analysis:

Though the Devils weren't initially expecting Severson back until later in the week, he showed enough progress with his injury at Tuesday's morning skate for the medical staff to sign off on his return. He'll play in his first game since Dec. 15, likely joining Jon Merrill on the Devils' second defensive pair.
