VIDEO: Ovechkin redirects Orpik's shot to extend NHL goals lead

Alex Ovechkin padded his lead in the Rocket Richard Trophy race with a deflection early in the first period of Tuesday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Washington Capitals captain worked his way into the slot and got his stick on a point shot by Brooks Orpik, redirecting it past Sergei Bobrovsky for his 42nd goal.

Ovechkin scored again in the third period to extend his advantage over Rick Nash to five goals. The 29-year-old has 26 goals in 29 games since the beginning of 2015.
