Parenteau returned to the lineup Monday night after an extended absence due to a concussion. He skated 10:21 in a 4-0 loss to the Sharks.

Analysis:

Parenteau started the game on the fourth line and was then moved around as head coach Michel Therrien experimented with combinations in an effort to stoke some sort of offense. We'll need to see how Therrien adjusts his lines after the Canadiens added forwards Torrey Mitchell and Brian Flynn at Monday's trade deadline. After Monday's performance, you know those two newcomers will be in the lineup Wednesday against Anaheim. Parenteau will fit somewhere on the third or fourth lines for now.
