Lightning send Witkowski to Syracuse

The Tampa Bay Lightning have sent defenseman Luke Witkowski to AHL Syracuse on Monday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis:
Witkowski, who has yet to record a point in 10 games with the Lightning this season, heads back to the AHL for now, in the wake of the team's acquisition of fellow blueliner Braydon Coburn. With Syracuse, Witkowski has notched six points and racked up 75 PIM in 36 contests to date.
