The Anaheim Ducks continued their late flurry of deals by acquiring forward Michael Sgarbossa from the Colorado Avalanche for defenseman Mat Clark. The deal was officially announced an hour after the trade deadline.

Sgarbossa has been one of the Avalanche's top offensive prospects since they acquired him in a 2012 trade deadline deal, recording 87 points in 145 games with Colorado's AHL affiliate. The 22-year-old went undrafted out of the OHL despite scoring above a point-per-game pace during his junior career.

Clark is a 24-year-old former second-round pick with 280 games of AHL experience. Sgarbossa and Clark each have nine games of NHL experience.
