Maple Leafs trade Olli Jokinen to Blues

Tom Szczerbowski / USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Maple Leafs have found a home for Olli Jokinen.

Toronto has sent the veteran forward to the St. Louis Blues for forward Joakim Lindstrom and a conditional sixth-round pick in 2016, the Blues confirmed

St. Louis' pick will become a fourth-round selection should he have a hand in the Blues advancing to the Stanley Cup Final, per ESPN's Pierre LeBrun.

Toronto will not retain salary in the deal.

The Maple Leafs took on the contract last month in order to facilitate Cody Franson's move to the Nashville Predators. He'll now rejoin the Central Division race and surely improve upon his six career postseason games.

Jokinen scored three goals in 48 games with the Predators, and mustered an assist in six starts with the Maple Leafs.
