St. Louis Blues (40-18-4) at Vancouver Canucks (35-23-3), 9:30 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - Following a disappointing finish to their road trip against the league's last-place team, the Vancouver Canucks aim to rebound on Sunday evening against one of NHL's contenders as they host the St. Louis Blues.

The Canucks wrapped a five-game swing with Thursday's loss to the lowly Buffalo Sabres, giving them a 3-2-0 record in the swing. It was a pair of lost points for Vancouver, which is only three points ahead of both Los Angeles and Calgary for second place in the Pacific Division.

Shawn Matthias, Jannik Hansen and Daniel Sedin scored the goals in the 6-3 loss, while Eddie Lack yielded five goals on 23 shots faced as he continues to fill in for the injured Ryan Miller.

"It's a dangerous game to play," Daniel Sedin told NHL.com. "They worked hard, got pucks deep, and we didn't play a whole lot of shots. When we tied it up in the third ... we made a few mistakes that cost us."

The Canucks will play two straight and seven of their next nine at home and Lack could draw the start again tonight. It's a good choice statistically as he is a perfect 3-0-0 lifetime versus the Blues with a 0.97 goals against average and .960 save percentage. Lack has stopped 72 of the 75 shots faced against the Blues with one shutout.

St. Louis also sits second in its division, trailing the Central-leading Nashville Predators by five points while owning a five-point edge over third- place Chicago.

The Blues have won the first two of a five-game road trip, following up Thursday's win over Winnipeg with a 2-1 decision over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.

Paul Stastny scored the game-winning goal with 5:40 left in regulation and also assisted on Dmitrij Jaskin's first-period marker. Brian Elliott made 21 saves for the Blues.

"Sometimes it just clicks," said Stastny. "It's always good to win in regulation."

Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester blocked two shots and logged 21 minutes and 16 seconds of ice time in his 900th NHL game.

Jake Allen may get the start tonight as the Blues finish up games on back-to- back nights. He yielded five goals on 23 shots in a loss to Montreal last time out on Feb. 24 and is 1-2-0 lifetime versus the Canucks with a 2.94 GAA and .875 save percentage.

The Blues have lost four in a row to the Canucks, dropping the first of three meetings this season 4-1 in St. Louis on Oct. 23. Miller made 31 saves, while Allen posted 19 stops.

Vancouver has won three in a row at home versus St. Louis.
