Jagr on future with Devils: 'What's the reason to keep me?'

With essentially no shot at making the playoffs in New Jersey, Jaromir Jagr thinks the Devils will look to move him.

"If something comes up, I'll be traded," Jagr said Monday, according to Rich Chere of NJ.com. "What's the reason to keep me? I'm not important to this team."

While he hasn't come out and asked to be traded prior to the March 2 deadline, it's clear he'd rather play out the season on a playoff-bound roster.

Jagr, who turned 43 on Sunday, clearly remains a useful player, recording 35 goals and 61 assists in 134 games with the Devils dating back to the beginning of last season.

After bouncing between four teams since rejoining the league in 2011, he's no stranger to moving on to greener pastures, and appears likely to don another sweater within the next two weeks.
