Buffalo Sabres forward Cody Hodgson is a healthy scratch for Friday's game against the Vancouver Canucks, depriving him of a chance to face the team that drafted him.
Hodgson has one assist in 11 January contests. He has faced the Canucks three times in his career but has yet to record a point against them.
Vancouver traded Hodgson for Zack Kassian during the 2011-12 season.
