1990 - Gretzky hits 100 points for 11th straight year

File this under 'NHL records that will never be broken.'

With an assist in a 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils, Wayne Gretzky - then of the Los Angeles Kings - records 100 points for the 11th consecutive season.

Gretzky would accomplish the feat four more time to set the mark at 15; Mario Lemieux ranks second with ten straight 100-point seasons.

What makes it even more amazing is the fact that Gretzky reached 120 points in all but one of those 15 seasons. On top of that, he would have reached the 100-point mark 11 times even without scoring a goal.

The streak came to an end in 1992-93, when Gretzky was limited to 45 games due to a back injury. Still, he recorded 65 points, putting him on pace for 118 in 82 games.

In short, Gretzky was pretty, pretty good.
