Panthers' Thornton activated from IR, will play Thursday vs. Blue Jackets

Shawn Thornton (groin) was activated from injured reserve Thursday.

Analysis:

Thornton is ready to return after missing the last 20 games with his groin injury. He will take the ice Thursday night for the Panthers' matchup with the Blue Jackets, but it's not certain which line he will join out of the gate.
