The National Hockey League has levied a $2,000 fine on New York Islanders forward Cal Clutterbuck for embellishing and subsequently deceiving officials in a Jan. 19 game versus the Philadelphia Flyers.
After feeling the stick of Jakub Voracek on his side, Clutterbuck lifted his hand and dropped to one knee to successfully draw a minor penalty.
Clutterbuck is the fourth player to incur a fine under the NHL's embellishment policy, joining James Neal, Gustav Nyquist and Vincent Trocheck.
