The hometown fans at the All-Star Game in Columbus won't be able to root for their club's goaltender.

Sergei Bobrovsky, who suffered an apparent lower-body injury during Wednesday's loss to the Winnipeg Jets, won't be able to partake in the All-Star Weekend festivities, Columbus Blue Jackets president John Davidson indicated Thursday.

Bobrovsky's inability to participate was later confirmed by the team

The Russian goaltender posted a 16-15-2 record with a .913 save percentage for Columbus prior to suffering the injury.

The Blue Jackets will still be represented at the All-Star Game by Nick Foligno and Ryan Johansen.

No timetable has been set for Bobrovsky's return to the lineup.
