Coyotes' Gormley reassigned to Portland

Arizona Coyotes blue-liner Brandon Gormley was assigned to the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey league on Wednesday.

Analysis:

Gormley was moved down in order to receive added ice time over the All-Star break. He will likely be recalled following the recess, but there's no guarantee. In 15 games this season, the 22-year-old blueliner has recorded three points (two goals, one assist) in 16:20 of average ice time.
