Flyers' Giroux 'got lucky,' not expected to miss time after being sliced by skate

The Philadelphia Flyers and their captain are breathing a major sigh of relief.

Claude Giroux is not expected to miss any time after having his left leg sliced open by the skate of Justin Faulk late in Friday night's loss to the Carolina Hurricanes

The Flyers captain had blood piercing through the white on his sock and had to be rushed off the ice after being tangled up with Faulk in the corner.

Giroux is being considered probable for Saturday's road game against the New Jersey Devils.
